  • SWIMMING & DIVING ANNOUNCEMENT
    Delaware YMCA will hold a "FITTER & FASTER" Swim Tour in Delaware, Ohio, September 7, 2014.
    Suggested ages: 7 to 11 and 12 and up.
    Inquisitive, Educated Swimmers are Faster Swimmers
    Sign - in starts at 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
    Event: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
    Each FFT clinic is designed to focus on the unique strengths and experiences of the clinicians at that specific clinic. This clinic will focus on the unique strengths of expert clinicians, Chloe Sutton and Adam Brown.  HURRY and SIGN - UP now before tickets sell out.

  • PACER ATHLETIC TRAINER INFORMATION
    Concussion Baseline Testing!
    Baseline concussion testing for incoming freshmen, juniors and all new student athletes planning on trying-out for Football, Volleyball, Boy’s Soccer and Girl’s soccer will be Tuesday July 29th in the Hayes library computer lab.
    Each team will need to arrive at the scheduled time listed below:
    8:00am Girls soccer and Volleyball
    9:00am Boys Soccer
    10:00am Football
    Please have baseline testing forms submitted to your coach or athletic office by Friday July 25th.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2013 - 2014 PACERS WHO HAVE ACHIEVED THEIR GOALS AND THEN SOME! 
We want to welcome Steve Glesenkamp (740-833-1020) and Heidi Plank to Delaware City Schools Pacer Pride Family.  As the Pacer's new Athletic Director, Mr. Glesenkamp is an alumnus of Delaware Hayes High School.  He and his family reside in Delaware and he and his family are PACERS through and through!  We also want to welcome Mrs. Plank to our Pacer front office team.   Watch for Mr. Glesenkamp and Mrs. Plank at the games.
New Coaches that we want to welcome to the Pacer Paddock will be Football Coach Golden, Boys Soccer Coach Diehl, and Girls Tennis Coach Backhurst.  LET'S GO PACERS!

Attention Parents:*
Please schedule with your pediatrician, your family physician, or a community medical site to have your student/ athlete's physical early so you can submit your physical form prior to scheduled team practices.  Prior planning will be invaluable. 
Remember NO student-athlete may participate in scheduled practices or games without a current physical on file.  Physical forms are current for one calendar year.  The completed forms with all student-athlete and parent signatures are to be turned into your team coach. The Ohio High School Athletic Association Pre - participation Physical Evaluation Forms are available at Delaware Hayes High School and Dempsey Middle School in the athletic department or in the main office.  Or you may copy this website and enter it in your address line,  http://www.ohsaa.org/medicine/physicalform.htm .
The forms are also available on line at the Delaware Athletics Athlete/Parent drop down icon on the website.  You can also access and print the form by clicking the link above this message. You must take the form with you to your chosen physical exam site with all student and parent signatures completed on the form prior to examination. Parents must complete the Health History and sign the form prior to examination. 
 
PAY TO PARTICIPATE (2014 - 2015)
In an attempt to offset transportation fees and adviser cost, a pay to participate fee will be attached to all extra-curricular and co-curricular programs. Fees for student athletes will be $35.00 per athlete, per sport at Delaware Hayes High School and $25.00 per athlete, per sport at Dempsey Middle School. Athletic fees for High School student athletes must be paid directly to the Delaware Hayes High School Athletic Desk in the front office . The hours for paying the athletic fees are Monday - Friday 8:00am -11:30am and 12:30 - 2:30pm.

Athletic Fees must be paid before an athlete can participate in a scrimmage, preview, or game.

Dempsey Middle School student athlete fees will be paid at Dempsey Middle School.

FALL SPORTS: Cheerleading, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Football, Boys and Girls Golf, Boys and Girls Soccer, Girls Tennis, and Girls Volleyball.

WINTER SPORTS: Boys and Girls Basketball, Club Boys and Girls Bowling, Girls Gymnastics, Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving, and Wrestling.

SPRING SPORTS: Baseball, Softball, Boys Tennis, Boys and Girls Track & Field, Boys Volleyball, and Club Boys and Girls Lacrosse.

2014-2015 SEASON SPORT PASS PACKET

Starting Monday, August 4th, the Delaware Hayes High School Athletic Department will sell Athletic Season Passes for all high school and middle school athletic home events. (This pass does not admit you into tournaments.) These passes are for the purpose of admitting elementary, middle, high school age children, parents, guardians, and friends of Delaware City Schools Athletics to home high school and home middle school athletic events. Athletic Season Passes may be purchased in the Hayes High School Athletic Department Office between the hours of 8:00a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. beginning August 4th.
